History and inspiration

Tarot began with fifteenth-century Italian card games, whose figures and suits later inspired new forms of reading. Museum collections preserve its early history. Tarot de Esperanza brings that visual language into a contemporary illustration you can explore card by card.

When reversed, the card invites you to explore the same theme more deeply: a difficulty, an excess or a quality that needs more room. This nuance enriches its meaning and enters the reading with the orientation chosen for the spread.
