Forward Motion

Forward Motion: meaning

Moving forward requires coordinating demands that may pull in different directions. Willpower becomes useful through a destination, a pace and a way to correct course; speed alone does not establish progress.

A reading step by step

Explore the three positions of Ángeles de Esperanza with this example. Place the images in the stated order and follow each row’s ideas. Then connect the three themes: how does the perspective change from one position to the next?

• Context · Forward Motion: Moving forward requires coordinating demands that may pull in different directions.
• Learning · Fortitude: Firmness need not be aggressive.
• Focus · The Inner Light: A pause creates room for enquiry interrupted by everyday noise.

History and inspiration

Tarot began with fifteenth-century Italian card games, whose figures and suits later inspired new forms of reading. Museum collections preserve its early history. Ángeles de Esperanza brings that visual language into a contemporary illustration you can explore card by card.
